Josh Liu is a hairstylist based in Los Angeles with experience in editorial, commercial, television and music. Most recently, he has returned from the 2017 international Dangerous Woman Tour, where he worked with Ariana Grande as her hairstylist.
Trained by the renowned Toni + Guy Hairdressing Academy, Josh has trained under celebrity hairstylists from Chris Appleton, Christian Wood, Anthony Turner, Rob Talty, John Ruggiero, Anna Cofone, Dennis Gots, among others.
Hair has always been a passion for Josh. His vision for hair is unique in that it is ART. Hair is simply a different medium with the client being the canvas, in which Josh expresses his creativity drawing inspiration from fashion, nature and architecture.
Prior to working in hair, Josh graduated from Pepperdine University with a B.A in Public Relations and worked in Talent Publicity as an Assistant Publicist for a year and a half at ID Public Relations. After much reflection, he decided to pursue his true passion and dream of becoming a hairstylist. Josh also comes from a background in the fine arts, taking courses at The Art Center College of Design.
Josh continues to educate himself through masterclasses to exercise his creativity and learn the latest in techniques, fashion, trends and design to provide his clients+projects with unique and innovative looks.
